Different stories, different perspectives, different experiences — experimenting with and looking at art together helps us to get closer to each other, to get to know new cultures and views of the world, to expand horizons, and to develop new ideas together. The mumok studio becomes a place where people from different walks of life and backgrounds exchange views.

Free german classes

Due to the fact that refugees in Austria usually only get their first German class (level A1) paid for and as most of them do not have the sufficient financial means to attend additional classes, we, the Austrian Network for Refugees, have decided to try and offer German classes, which are held on a daily basis and are free of charge. The classes will be provided by different tutors, with various approaches to learning. The refugees will then be given the opportunity to choose their preferred teaching and learning method.

We are currently offering five types of classes:

Level A1 classes (beginners) take place on Tuesdays from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

Level A1+ classes take place on Saturdays from 12 m to 4:00 pm.

Level A2  classes (communication classes) take place on Tuesdays from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Classes for learners between the ages 14 and 18 years take place on Wednesdays from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Classes for women only take place on Mondays from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
